Second Tip That Will Improve Your Life
Today I hope to motivate you and give you my number two tip for a better life.
Love yourself unconditionally!
If you can’t do this, you will never be able to love anyone else unconditionally.
If you are looking for advice on how to love yourself, you are on the right web page. I will be happy to teach and motivate you into self-love.
Some time ago, I was going through a difficult period in my life and my relationships. I believed I wasn’t good enough, I didn't love myself enough. I was always judging and criticizing myself and trying to find thousands of mistakes I was making….
Then I met a man and we became good friends. He asked me, why do you think other people are more perfect than you are? I said that they have a better figure and so on. He told me no, Martina. We are all imperfect. We are all the same. Just like you. You are beautiful just the way you are and you should love yourself. He asked me, do you love your boyfriend? I said, of course I do. He said how can you love your boyfriend if you don’t love yourself? In that moment, I understood. He was right. I needed to love myself first and after that I could truly love my boyfriend.
So I began my journey to self-love. I started by reading several books that helped me on the path to the self-development of loving myself. I found that my main issues were largely rooted in my lack of self-love. The text below will show you some of the things I discovered that helped me and I hope will help you too.
Fall in love with yourself !
How do you fall in love with yourself?
Sit down and think about exactly what makes you who you are. Simply, try to understand and learn everything about yourself in every way. Accept your flaws and the fact that you are imperfect. Start loving yourself for all the good that is inside and outside. Look in the mirror and fall in love with the reflection that is you. In this body with this shape, there is only one person, and that’s you. Be proud of yourself. Love yourself unconditionally, without apology and in every way!
Eliminate self-criticism
How can you eliminate self-criticism?
Do you often hear a little voice inside your head that tells you that you are not that good because you are stupid, boring, too quiet, too fat or thin? Please, make an effort to STOP the self-criticism! Judgement is a no-go area, and it’s also boring! Don’t judge yourself and don’t judge or gossip about others. Remember: Gossip is poison, don’t do it or be around anyone who does (you will get older faster and you can get wrinkles from gossip)! If someone was gossiping about you or someone told you something that wasn’t very nice, ignore it, even the stuff directed towards you personally. Try to avoid self-criticism as much as you can, and if your mind tries to tell you something that is not true just ignore it. Try to find a trick how to replace the negative thoughts with positive thoughts. It will help you and you will feel more confident.
Be kind and positive towards yourself
How to be kind and positive?
Try to start thinking kindly and positively about yourself. Stand in front of the mirror and make it a habit to praise yourself every day. Make positive affirmations every day.
For example:
“I love and accept myself completely and unconditionally.”
Remember to read your affirmations aloud several times every day. The love that you have for yourself will start growing and you will come to appreciate yourself.
Be grateful to yourself
How can you be grateful?
Feel blessed. Be grateful for every moment that you have. Be grateful that you are alive. Be grateful for good health and happiness. Be grateful for your soul and for every single second of your life.
Take care of yourself
How can you take care of yourself?
It’s important to eat healthy food and exercise regularly. Try to take a yoga class and make it a habit. Try to meditate each day for at least 5 minutes and calm down. If you would like to have any help during your yoga or meditation practice, remember I am always here for you. Simply contact me, I would appreciate to be your guide. Remember your body is a temple and you should treat it with respect. You can give yourself some gifts. Buy yourself flowers. Go for a massage or to a beauty salon. Have a nice manicure and hair done. Wear beautiful clothes and feel like the most beautiful woman (man).
You will not love yourself immediately because it all takes time. Please stay patient and find your true love for yourself. Understand that learning how to love yourself will take you some time and you have to practice to love yourself every single day.
PS: Love yourself unconditionally forever!
The following text is a self-love affirmation. You can repeat this text on a daily basis.
I love and accept myself completely and unconditionally.
I love myself always in all ways.“I am Me. In all the world, there is no one else exactly like me. Everything that comes out of me is authentically mine, because I alone chose it — I own everything about me: my body, my feelings, my mouth, my voice, all my actions, whether they be to others or myself. I own my fantasies, my dreams, my hopes, my fears. I own my triumphs and successes, all my failures and mistakes. Because I own all of me, I can become intimately acquainted with me. By so doing, I can love me and be friendly with all my parts. I know there are aspects about myself that puzzle me, and other aspects that I do not know — but as long as I am friendly and loving to myself, I can courageously and hopefully look for solutions to the puzzles and ways to find out more about me. However I look and sound, whatever I say and do, and whatever I think and feel at a given moment in time is authentically me. If later some parts of how I looked, sounded, thought, and felt turn out to be unfitting, I can discard that which is unfitting, keep the rest, and invent something new for that which I discarded. I can see, hear, feel, think, say, and do. I have the tools to survive, to be close to others, to be productive, and to make sense and order out of the world of people and things outside of me. I own me, and therefore, I can engineer me. I am me, and I am Okay.”― Virginia Satir
