Inside Flow Global Summit Bali 2024 - Day 2
Hello, lovely readers! I'm thrilled to have you back on my blog. Let me take you on a journey back to the enchanting island of Bali and share the highlights from the second day of the summit.
Today is Wednesday, November 13, 2024, and it marks Day 2 of the Inside Flow Global Summit in beautiful Bali. My dear friend and flow sister, Seda, and I woke up around 7 AM at the Renaissance Resort and Spa in Uluwatu. We brewed some coffee, followed our morning routines, and headed to breakfast. Oh my goodness, the breakfast was absolutely delicious! Each day, we indulged in a hearty meal along with refreshing dragon fruit juice, coconut water, celery spinach juice, and, of course, coffee! Yes, we finished it all! :-D After breakfast, I went back to our room to change into my yoga attire.
As I entered the yoga room, I reunited with Seda, and Day 2 was officially underway! To be honest, it was a challenging day for me, both physically and emotionally. (Though for me, it felt like Day 3, as I had already participated in the Inside Flow concert in Jakarta before arriving in Bali.)
The first flow of the day was led by @lulu_soul, featuring the upbeat track "Uptown Funk" by Mark Ronson (feat. Bruno Mars). How was it? Absolutely incredible! Just check out my Instagram photo to see the joy I felt afterward! I was drenched in sweat and utterly exhausted, but it felt so good! We all had an amazing time! Be sure to check my Instagram stories for a glimpse of our Day 2 experience!
After a brief break, we moved on to the next flow. Flow 2 was guided by @dancinbecka, accompanied by the acoustic version of "All I Ever Wanted" by Dean Lewis. The flow was stunning! We explored poses like drama falling down, extended wild thing, flying wild thing, and twisted dancer pose. Rebeca shared a heartfelt personal story that helped us connect even more deeply with the flow and the music.
Once Rebeca wrapped up her session, Young Ho, the founder of Inside Flow, engaged with us about the song choices, and asked us how we liked the main song choices. We all agreed they were fantastic! Young Ho reminded us that while we all have different musical tastes—be it upbeat, happy, sad, powerful, and so on… —the focus of teaching should always be on the audience. He encouraged us to broaden our musical horizons and experiment with styles we might not typically choose to surprise our students!
Next, we discussed the Inside Flow factory, and Young Ho surprised us with a new song for which we could create a flow. He suggested collaborating with people from different countries, not just those we already know. Then it was time for a lunch break!
During lunch, Seda and I reconnected with wonderful friends from around the world and immediately began brainstorming our new flow. :) After a quick bite, we returned to the yoga mats!
Flow 3 was led by @hj_monika, featuring the uplifting track "Happy Place in Paradise." It was such a joyful and vibrant flow!
Flow 4, taught by @aminortonyoga, accompanied by "Proud" by Leroy Sanchez, was deeply moving. Ami’s mom joined us at the summit, and the flow was so touching that it brought tears to our eyes. It was a beautiful moment.
What a day it was! It felt like an emotional roller coaster filled with beautiful flows and wonderful people!
Actually, the day wasn't over for me. We met with our group friends from all over the globe and continued to work on our flow together :) . In one hour, we finished the flow and went to the Kong concert. Honestly, the day was beautiful but very exhausting. I felt the need to have some time for myself, go for a swim, and for a while just be alone and reflect on all the feelings and thoughts I had. And that I did.
I went to the room, had a shower, changed into my bikini, and went for a swim. Later, I just listened to relaxing music, did meditation, and relaxed. Later, I met Seda, and we had dinner together by the pool. Afterwards, we were working on our new flows. :) Around midnight, we went to our room and slept like babies.
